Racers will be able to amplify their notoriety and gain infamy with Volume 5 of Criterion Games and EA’s Need for Speed Unbound, launching in just a few short days on October 12.
New to Volume 5 of Need for Speed Unbound is a refreshed Speed Pass. With it, one can get themselves 75 free ranks with retro kaleidoscopic cosmetics and customizations, along with the Buick Grand National GNX (1987) for those that hit rank 50.
Those that pull off 25 near misses in any BMW while being chased by the police can also get themselves the new turbocharged BMW M2 Coupé (2023).
New premium content packs will also be available in-store, including the timely spooky “Trick or Street Swag Pack.” This makes the Legendary Custom MINI John Cooper Works Countryman ’17 a reality – just the thing for enthusiasts. This is on top of perks like a clothing pack, Skeleton Head mask, driving effect, and exclusive horn. The custom pack in particular includes the Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport (2017), BMW i8 Coupé (2018) and Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupe (2018) for $5.99.
Note that EA Play subscribers can get themselves a tidy reward in the form of the Epic Custom Mercury Cougar (1967).
Set in Lakeshore City (which is based on the city of Chicago), Need for Speed Unbound is available for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
