Market intelligence startup Crunchbase Inc. today unveiled a new Chrome browser extension designed to make it easier to leverage data to identify new opportunities.
The Crunchbase Chrome extension seeks to address the complicated problem of the sales prospecting workflow. The extension is offered for free and works on top of the tools and websites users already prospect on. The extension, says Crunchbase, helps users find the right prospects, cut down research time and connect with decision-makers.
Using the extension, users can bring the functions of Crunchbase such as company and contact data on key web properties such as LinkedIn, Sales Navigator and Salesforce Inc. The extension allows users to identify new accounts or rediscover accounts that already exist in customer relationship management software and quickly qualify them with relevant information.
On the search side, the extension delivers the ability to access Crunchbase where you are without having to access new tabs or tools to research and qualify accounts. Users can use the extension to evaluate accounts with key signals, get alerts, prioritize accounts and access verified contact data.
Once the right contacts at qualified companies have been identified, users can take action quickly with Salesforce and Outreach integrations within the extension. Qualified accounts and contacts can be pushed straight into Salesforce and they can be added to Outreach sequences as well.
Crunchbase has come a long way since it started as a project at TechCrunch in May 2007. The company was spun off from TechCrunch in 2015 and has since gone on to raise $56.5 million in venture capital funding, including a round of $30 million in October 2019. Crunchbase was last in the news in August 2020 with the launch of Salesforce integration.
